"Bandage" (from First Blush) was filmed in a warehouse in Southeast Calgary
I have to say that I was quite scared of the whole process when we got started.
I am not very comfortable in front of a camera, but Doug was very easy-going and
made it seem so simple. He didn't ask for more than I could handle, and it
was actually fun! I had a great time while we were shooting it!

We had an amazing crew helping us out, which made everything run very smoothly.
Thanks to Karla Pospisil, who did the makeup and hair, Michelle Armeneau,
who helped with EVERYTHING, and loaned us her beautiful organ for the shoot,
all of the crew who helped with the actual filming (a long couple of days!),
Colin Way, who did photography, and Starr, who fed us all - yum!
The band did an AMAZING job - I thought they might be a bit camera-shy, like me,
but they took to it like fish in the water! I mean, they kicked ass! Seriously,
guys, that was incredible! Everything Doug asked, they just pulled it off,
like they'd been acting since birth.

,
AND... Did I mention that Steve, Shane, and various other employees of Heavy Industries
made us an incredible, gigantic, 10 foot square Tim Burton-style heart - yes, a heart
- made of styrofoam, steel, wood, paint, and lots of tender-loving-care,
it is basically central to the video. Oh - and covered in lights, loaned by
the Airdrie Festival of Lights, I believe.
Yes, this heart was dozens of hours of work - much of the material and all
of the labor was donated - you guys rock! I love my band! and I love
Heavy Industries! These guys (Steve and Shane, and others) have worked
for Disney, the Detroit auto show, and "REALLY BIG DEAL" kinds of places
but they still find time for little people like me!

Doug Cook, who recently finished a video for Darren Johnson, directed the video. He chose
the song, and conceived the visual images from start to finish. I must admit that,
since I didn't know Doug prior to his contacting me just a number of months ago,
I was a little scared of the whole process. I just put all my faith in what he wanted
to do, and jumped in - and it paid off! I think we pulled off a very professional
looking video, and really, it is all because of Doug. He had a solid plan
and really followed it through. I had lots of doubts, and millions of questions.
Doug took them all in stride and followed the video through to completion,
and to a MUCH higher standard than I would ever have expected.

Lots of people volunteered their time and equipment to help with this project.

Thank you to all who came out to the fundraiser on May 20th, and to those of you
who donated online, to help cover the costs of the video production.
