Oh me, oh my – I’ve got a pile of books here,
It’s at least four book high – I can’t carry that load… I’m just a girl
Hey you – over there! With those big strong arms and that Samson-like hair,
Could you find it in your heart to help out a damsel in distress?
I’m just a damsel in distress,
You don’t want me to dirty up this pretty little dress now, do you?
I think that would be a crime.
I can hardly lift a thing – why, the strongest part of me is this little pinky finger,
I’ve got you wrapped around it oh so tight.
Oh dear! What’s that? Don’t tell me you expect me to be able to do math
Those figures mix me up – I’m just a girl.
But hey you! In the suit… Bet you’ve got the brains and you’ve got the looks to boot,
Could you find it in your heart to help out a damsel in distress?
I’m just a damsel in distress,
You don’t want me messing up my pretty little head now, do you?
That would be a shame.
Me & numbers just don’t get along - ‘cept for when it’s money comin’ from your wallet
That’s the only way I play that game.
What’s that? Oh no! I’d like to travel, but I can’t work up the courage to go
Not all by myself – come on … I’m just a girl.
But hey – what about you? I bet you could figure out a plan or two,
Could you find it in your heart to help out a damsel in distress.
I’m just a damsel in distress,
You don’t want to put my bravery to the test now, do you?
Make my little heart sink.
I can’t do things all on my own – can’t even get up the courage to pick up the phone and call you
At least that’s what I want you to think.

I’m just a damsel in distress,
Don’t put me to the test,
Please just focus on my chest,
And let’s forget about all the rest….
I’m tellin’ you baby, I’m a damsel in distress!
